Q: Toyota Sienna 1999 power windows not working properly. How much will it cost to repair it?
My 1999 Toyota Sienna is in excellent condition. But the power window seems to suddenly get stuck. And will either open or close only in small increments after a few miutes each time. Is this an expensive repair item? What needs to be replaced? Thanks.

A: Hundreds. And if one went the others will too. also check under the vehicle for rot out by the spare tire. There is a recall on all these rotting vehicles.

Q: How much would 2 used tires for a 1995 toyota corolla cost?
Need tires and would like to know how much I am expecting to pay for 4 used tires for a 1995 Toyota Corrolla. Also how much would new ones be?

A: How used? I personally would NEVER buy used tires for any car because you don't know how they were used, any defects, and they aren't under any guarantee. The best all season tires for your car from Tirerack.com cost $58 each so honestly to get 4 tires... plus shipping you're looking in the neighborhood of $300. Not bad at all considering street tires can run up to $350 each for some cars.

Q: Toyota Camry Brake lights do not work, even after replacing the bulbs and fuce?
I have a 1989 Toyota Camry and my brake lights do not work. I checked the fuses ( all of them! under hood and inside driver panel) also replaced all the bulbs with new. I still have no brake lights and the dash light indicator continuously shows a little car with the back light problem. What can I do? I would like to know if there is a stop switch attached to the brake pedal and if so how do I check it and/or replace if it is bad.

A: Fuce?? There's a brake light switch somewhere on your pedal assembly or hydraulic system.

Q: what is the largest speaker i could fit in a 1990 toyota pickup?
I have a 1990 toyota pickup truck and i'm considering installing some new door speakers because the small dash speakers aren't very nice. I don't really want to take the door panel off right now, does anyone know the largest sized speaker i can fit in the door?

A: you can fit a 6x9 but 6.5s will fit better and always come with there own grills for a clean look.

Q: Is Toyota going to lay off many US workers with all the extreme bashing its getting?
Toyota may decide to pull up stakes and focus on Asia. Will you buy GM, the government Motor's products?

A: Most likely they will, I only buy Ford since the bailouts

Q: what california school of design was the toyota camry designed?

Q: Where is the timing connector on a Toyota Previa?
I have a 1997 Toyota Previa. I failed a smog check and the mechanic gave this reason: "timing connector doesn't ground for ignition timing to be checked." He said the Check Engine Light is supposed to come on when the connector is grounded, but it doesn't. Where/what is this timing connector, and does this have anything to do with the OBD-II connector under the driver's seat?

A: The OBD2 connector is technically called the DLC or Data Link Connector. "Timing Connector" does not make any sense to me, unless perhaps it is the wiring clip leading to any one of the sensors that check timing. Do you have a check engine light on? Did he give you a specific OBD2 code? More useful than naming a connector would be the actual connector number that you could look up on a wiring diagram. I will give you one warning, though - if you are in CA I am trained on 49 state emissions and not CA emissions. There are a couple connectors that we just don't use over here on the East Coast and we only see CA emissions vehicles in the shop once in a blue moon, so when we do, we hit Alldata, Mitchell On Demand or the like. I am certified in PA emissions and I spoke to the MD emissions office when I moved and they didn't pay enough, but my cert would have transfered. We either do the treadmill test or plug to the DLC and test the gas cap depending on the year and inspect the components for tampering. We don't ground any sensors, which is another reason that just doesn't make sense to me.

Q: Where can I find replacement struts for the trunk of a Toyota Celica?
I have a Toyota Celica 2000 and the struts in the trunk no longer work. I'm getting really tired of holding the trunk door open and having it bang down on my head (ouch!) because the struts no longer work. My Toyota service center quoted a very high price to purchase and install replacement struts. I'm looking for a cheaper option. Also would like to know how difficult it is to install struts myself.

A: Just go to the nearest junkyard, you can usually find a similar model and find that part. Price is good, and fun too to just wonder around the big playground full of different cars. :)

Q: What is a really good brand name for performance and exterior parts for a toyota celica?
I have a 2001 toyota celica and i'm trying to find nice performance parts and exterior parts for it. But I don't know of any really good make of brand names that is known to be good. Any ideas'?

A: My friend my friend, you are in luck! The toyota Celica just so happens to be on of the more popular vehicles on the market to soup up. All of these guys are rip offs, but they are also negotiators - talk them down never settle . good luck to you http://www.andysautosport.com/body_kits/toyota_celica.html http://www.autoguide.net/apf/toyota-exterior_parts/celica-catalog.html http://www.autoanything.com/car/toyota/celica/95A1A17A52.aspx http://www.slickcar.com/accessories/celica_accessories.asp

Q: Does anyone know a good salvage in Indiana or surrounding states to find old toyota parts?
I have a 1979 toyota truck that I want to fix up. I've been looking for some time for parts or a donor truck 1979 - 1983. I don't know of any scrap or salvage yards that go back into the late 70's for import or foreign vehicles. Also if anyone knows where I might be able to purchase a whole truck or part of a truck.

A: try this http://car-pat.com

Q: Does anyone notice a big difference between a toyota and an american sedan?
I have driven a jeep, VW Passat, Toyota Camry, Buick Le sarbre, and ridden in a lot of every kind of car. Yet when people say that Camry 's are junk, they have no proof to back it up. Is there a noticeable difference between a Impalla to a Camry? What does the world think?

A: well like you ive driven them all and have to say the toyota was the best, now dont buy into this hype saying that Toyota's dont stop, this recall is all media hype to bring the american cars up,i mean look at the stats yes toyota has recall but so do every other car company, chevy alone has 700,and yes safety issues as well, why isn't the media picking on this,i love how many now say Toyota's are not good, yet most never even driven them they just pro american so they want to bash the others, now little do they know that buying a toyota is more american friendly than buying a gm or ford or Chrysler, they are made in mecxico not the us or canada,

Q: How to clean the seats in a 2008 Toyota Yaris?
I have a 2008 Toyota Yaris and the seats are beige in color. My backseat is absolutely filthy, can anyone give me any ideas on what is the best way to clean them?

A: I have Clothe seats in my car and Use blue coral Upholstery Cleaner Dri-Clean Plus with Odor Eliminator. Use that and dry off any wet spots with the the roll of Scott blue shop towels. After awhile, everything smells clean and looks like new. You can buy it at any auto parts store or some wal-mart stores. better then paying 50 dollars or more to have someone else do it....

Q: My old Toyota Cressida is about to give up the ghost, any ideas?
My 1985 Toyota Cressida has run like a champ for years, it has about 190K miles and recently has had a slight shudder when driving at low speeds. Recently the shudder became very strong and is undrivable. The car is fine when it is parked and idling, however as soon as it starts to move in drive, it starts to shake, it now shakes very violently. The car continues to shudder even when coasting in neutral. Any ideas on what this might be? The car is an automatic, thanks for your help!

A: Seems like it could be the flexi plate which is between the Torque converter and the crankshaft They are known to crack badly and become out of balance. Very hard to bee sure without driving it but you should be able to check it from underneath. Don't try to do it with the engine running If this is all it is then it is worth fixing Also it is worth checking the drive shaft universal joints- one could have collapsed
