Q: 2007 Civic ............?
Does the civic have a trip computer that tells you how many more miles you have left to drive? Is it located on the dash, next to the speedometer or in the navigation system

A: No, it doesn't. My have has a 07 with Nav and I've looked for that feature myself.

Q: When will the 2008 civic come out and will the 2007 bcome cheaper?
I am planning to get a 2007 civic, and I was wondering if anyone knows if their price will decrease when the 2008 civic comes out. Thanks

A: If a honda dealer has 2007's on the lot when 2008's roll in, they have already paid for them, so the price really won't change. Just like any business, there has to be some profit made in order to keep the lights on. I work at Honda, and unfortunately for you, the civic's are in a spot of supply and demand, as gas goes up the supply goes down with the demand going up. We have a few 2006 accords left that are selling and are getting a small discount from the 2007 but not signifigant.

Q: How much would a pre owned 2007 Civic cost?
I'm going to get my license in a few months, and even though my parents are offering me an expensive car, I'd rather save money. How much would a pre owned 2007 Civic cost? I'm guessing its around 16 grand, I can't wait to get my baby :]].

A: Check this website and you can find a very accurate price for exactly the car you seek.

Q: How do you customize the 2007 Civic radio display?
I have a 2007 Honda Civic and the manual says that the radio display is suppose to display "WELCOME" when the radio is turned on. It also states that the message can be customized. I followed the steps in the manual to get to the customization but it's not working. My display isn't showing WELCOME in the first place so I'm sure this has something to do with it. Does anyone know the Civic and have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks UPDATE: The dealer called me and this is only an option on the coupes.

A: I am a salesman for Honda. First, you can only customize it if it is a 2 door coupe, you CAN NOT if it is a 4 door sedan. Second, to do it: 1- Turn the key in acc (first turn) don't crank it. 2- Press the Tune button and leave it press for a couple of seconds and then (with the tune button pressed) press the power button for the radio. 3- The welcome screen suppose to blink. 4- You can change the letters by turning the tune button. 5- You can skip to the next character by pressing the button you use to change a song in a CD. 6- To finish just press the power button. (If you still can not do it, and you do have a 2 door coupe, consult your "Quick start guide" it tells you there) P.S. the manual tells you can do it without letting you know that has to be a coupe, sorry about that.

Q: Is there any performance chips out there for a 2007 Civic Si?
I would like to know if there are any performance chips or anything of that nature that would work with my 2007 Civic Si.

A: There is too many to list. You want to worry most about the electronic foot print they leave. Some leave known so when it is removed there is no way of knowing that you had a chip on it. Otherwise you can have warranty problems from Honda, or give them excuse to blame the chip for any future problems on. I would consider a good cold air kit like K&N and adding synthethic oils to improve performance as much as I can with out using a chip.

Q: Is there a class action lawsuit for 2006 2007 Civic suspensions?
Is there a class action lawsuit against Honda for defective suspensions on the 2006 2007 Civic that cause uneven abnormal and premature tire wear and alignment problems?

A: Yes, there is. Here is the link: http://www.merchantlaw.com/classactions/honda.php Do us both a favor and spread this information to everyone you know. Some 2008 Civic hybrids are also affected. Honda has really done their loyal customers a disservice by making this a TSB and not an official recall. Making it a recall would have been very expensive, but clearly the right thing to do. (I was thinking I'm glad I own a Honda and not a Toyota, until I discovered this problem.) Here is a link to a site with a few example complaints. http://m.carcomplaints.com/Honda/Civic/2006/suspension/. Finally, here is a link to the TSB. http://www.in.honda.com/Rjanisis/pubs/SB/a08-001.PDF If everyone goes to their dealers with this in hand and starts demanding this repair, perhaps Honda Corporate will start paying attention. In any case, the lawsuit will get their attention. Just too bad it had to come to this. I'm seriously thinking about buying a Ford next time. (Never thought I would say that, as this is my third Honda.) Again, please spread the word. There is strength in numbers.

Q: Would a 2006 civic Si coupe spoiler fit my normal 2007 civic coupe?
Also, would the stering wheel of Si fit a normal 2007 Civic Coupe?

A: Yes It is the EXACT same car. They didn't change the body style from 2006-2007 By the way, I love the Si spoiler It looks great And yeah the steering wheel would too because the inside of the civic's are the same too

Q: What would a cheap 3a racing muffler from autozone sound like on a 2007 stock civic?
Im tight on money and i got my first car. a 2007 honda civic and im looking for really convienent, cheap ways to make it sound a little louder. Would the cheap tin can muffler from autozone make any difference?

A: it will sound like a lawn mower with a bad tune

Q: I have a 2007 civic EX I just bought, and the alarm has gone off 4 times already, whats the deal?
I just bought this car yesterday, there might be a simple answer to this, but the security alarm has gone off 4 times already, besides someone trying to break in which it has been in my driveway and I was watching it while it went on, what are other reasons? anyone have any infor on security alarms on 2007 honda civic ex's?

A: First determine if it is a factory alarm or aftermarket. That is if the key fob says Honda or some other company. More than likely it is and aftermarket model as I think it is equipped with a motion sensor or shock sensor that is set to a very sensitive setting. I would suggest looking to see who is an authorized dealer in your area of the alarm manufacture, i.e. stereo shop and see if they can adjust the sensitivity for you

Q: Where can I find a good extended auto warranty for my 2007 Civic Hybrid?
I am doing some research on extended auto warranties online. I wanted to see if anyone with a Honda civic hybrid handled the extended auto warranty issue.

A: the best extended warranty is no longer available to you; that was the Honda Care service contract but you can't buy that after the car is 6 months old. there are several dealer group contracts that are 'universal' in coverage but most won't cover the hybrid powertrain components. they will cover the other mechanicals. Be sure when you compare coverages to be sure it is clearly stated that the hybrid components are covered. it will say so right in the 'covered components' section of the contract. you can also buy 'mechanical breakdown insurance' from credit unions. they are different from 'service contracts' in that they are real insurance policies that cover you for the failure of the specified parts versus a 'service contract' which is an 'agreement' with all kinds of stipulations as to maintenance, use, type of failure etc. again, as with the service contract, make sure the hybrid components are called out in the 'fine print'; otherwise they won't be covered. your options are limited on what contracts you can buy as most dealers won't assume the risk of selling a contract on a vehicle that they did not retail. if you bought the car from a private party then the credit union may be your only option for mechanical breakdown insurance. if you bought it new from a dealer then the dealer may be able to sell you an aftermarket plan while the car is still under warranty. the programs from JM&A are quality contracts so that should be your first choice if you can find a dealer that will sell you one. JM&A is the finance arm of Jim Moran Family Enterprises and they are a Toyota Distributor in the Southeast. their contract would probably cover the hybrid because of the Toyota Prius. I've never had a problem getting a covered repair approved through their administrative arm and they pay the dealers promptly. hope that helps
