Q: I have a 2007 crv and the dashboard squeaks. It doesn't squeak all the time but mostly when i go over 80 km
It even squeaks if I go slow and then when i go faster it is so annoyingly loud. It sounds like it is coming from the vents in the front or that the dashboard wasn't glued properly. I have already taken it to the dealer but they can't figure it out. Anyone else have this problem and had it fixed? I saw on some other forum that it was the struts making the noise?

A: Take it to your local Honda dealer. They will hopeful fix it correctly. If that doesn't work, call Honda. If you're still not satisfied, you should invoke the lemon law for your CRV. It's most likely a lemon. Most people I know that have Hondas have quality issues with them, and it sounds like yours does too.

Q: I am looking to buy a 2007 CRV, but I am not sure about buying an SUV that is a 4 cylinder. Please help?
I am in the market for a new SUV that gets good gas mileage, and is affordable. I am looking at the 2007 Honda CRV. My only set back with this SUV is that it is a 4 Cylinder. Although the SUV is small I am not sure how well the engine will hold up with it being a 4 cylinder. If anyone has any knowlege about this then please let me know. I appreciate your help!!!

A: 4 cylinders tend to be more reliable than larger engines due to their more simplified construction. They do not have the pep of a V6 or V8 but are by no means slow. If you arent looking to drag race (I'm assuming no) and want a more fuel efficient and reliable vehichle the 4 cylinder is the way to go. If this helps...my girlfriend has a Chevy Colorado 4WD with a 4 cylinder...and again...its not a drag racer...but we can still haul light loads around in it, and the acceleration by no means feels slow. It weighs a bit more than the CR-V so it has a bigger 4 cyl...but if we drive it nicely it does manage to get around 30 mpg mixed highway and city. I would assume a Honda would get better gas mileage but who knows. Also check out Consumer Reviews at Edmunds.com...they are always helpful

Q: Where can I go to have a "govenor" installed (or just adjusted) on my 2007 CRV ?
I'm trying to curb my lead foot (too many speeding tickets)

A: Change your ignition system to a MSD 6AL type system. plug in the RPM resistor that your want and it won't rev any higher. NASCAR uses restrictor plates that allow a predetermined CFM of air. No more air - no more speed!

Q: What happened to my 2007 CRV (Yellow exclamation point) and should i be worried?
I was turning onto a street with alottle bit of an inclline. It was drizzling not raining hard or anything and I press the gass to get up the hill and I lost power. I cant describe it but the car gave up it was on and everything but the gas pedal wasnt working. and then the yellow exclaimation point came on. but it was probably like a second and then it went up the hill fine and the gas pedal worked again? Shoudl I take it into the shop?

A: The yellow exclamation point means that the vehicle stability assisty system (VSA) was activated. The stability assist system uses a combination of applying the brakes and a reduction of engine power to restore stability on turns or when the vehicle is swerving such as you would have under your wet road conditions. It felt like the gas pedal wouldn't respond because the VSA system had taken over partial control of the engine and brakes to restore control to the vehicle. From your description, it sounds like the system is operating as it should and that there should be no reason for you to take it in to have anything checked out. Heres the information from the 2007 C-RV owner's manual on how the system works: The vehicle stability assist (VSA) system helps to stabilize the vehicle during cornering if the vehicle turns more or less than desired. It also assists you in maintaining traction while accelerating on loose or slippery road surfaces. It does this by regulating the engine’s output and by selectively applying the brakes. When VSA activates, you may notice that the engine does not respond to the accelerator in the same way it does at other times. There may also be some unusual noise from the modulator. You will also see the VSA activation indicator blink. The VSA system cannot enhance the vehicle’s driving stability in all situations and does not control your vehicle’s entire braking system. It is still your responsibility to drive and corner at reasonable speeds and to leave a sufficient margin of safety

Q: how do i turn off the oil light in a 2007 crv-we change the oil ourselves and now it is showing a -# &lite?

A: I just learned this a week ago... hold on... OK, I went out to the car to check... first push the display "stick" that changes the display until just the Oil Life screen is showing... Now push in the stick and hold it for about 10 seconds, it should start to blink... and you will see Oil, Cancel, and Temp - rotate that stick until oil flashes, then push stick and it should reset. It will take a moment or so to actually register on the display. If this fails for you just have your dealer reset it - if they want to charge tell them next time you will buy a Nissan, that should quiet them...

Q: opinions on the honda 2007 crv?
also, how does the 4x4 work? i'm not familiar with how it automatically turns on. it seems strange because what if the car fails to turn it on when you need it? or what if the car turns it on when you don't and it wastes gas?

A: I test drove an 07' CRV and it was ok. It depends on what you are used to. The one I drove did not have automatic 4 wheel drive. If you havent driven one yet, you should. If you have driven it, then call up your salesperson and ask him/her your questions.

Q: between honda crv 2007 and kia sportage which is best and why?
need to know from economy, features perspective

A: Take a look at Consumer Reports. The Kia falls short in several categories safety, fuel economy, and reliability. It's cousin the Hyundai Tuscon rates much better in these areas except fuel economy. Maybe you should consider this instead of the Kia. On the other hand the CRV is rock solid. Do yourself a favor and get a subscription to Consumer Reports. You are about to make a large purchase and you should have all the unbiased information you can get.

Q: How reliable is the Honda CRV 2007 model?

A: The 2007 Honda CR-V has Consumer Reports' second-highest Reliability Verdict, a Better-Than-Average reliability rating. However, in assessing the reliability of a model, you should always examine a number of model years, as the reliability of a model varies little over time. In this regard, the Honda CR-V has the following CR Reliability Verdicts: 2005: Better Than Average 2006: Better Than Average 2007: Better Than Average 2008: Much Better Than Average. For reference, Toyota's RAV4 has the following CR Reliability Verdicts: 2005: Much Better Than Average 2006: Much Better Than Average 2007: Much Better Than Average 2008: Much Better Than Average. Both the CR-V and the RAV4 are very fine vehicles, but the RAV4 seems some better. Nonetheless, the CR-V very solidly outsells the RAV4, so likely both should be examined in detail.

Q: Which car is better a 2007 Crv or a 2007 Rav4 and why?

I'm in the market for a new CRV EX, I've checked out edmunds.com and kbb.com but i want real prices from real people who bought this popular car. No average prices! Real prices!

A: Daughter just paid $23,933 for a new CRV Ex.

Q: 2007 CRV EXL or the RAV4 Limited. Can't decide which to buy.?

A: I tested the RAV4. It was like a tractor. Suspensions are terrible. And driver seat is too tight. My legs were touching the wheel which is in top position. Very uncomfortable. I did not test CRV. I think if you drive both long enough for test, in highway and in offroad and in city, you'll decide.

Q: I just bought a CRV honda 2007. Please answer my following question?
I noticed today that when I stop after half hour driving, some water came out from engine and drop by drop. the amount of water was as much as one glass Is that a problem?

A: It's most likely condensation from your a/c, but if it bothers you that much than maybe you should call the dealership.
