The blower fan in my 2003 Honda Civic stopped working a week ago. The multi position switch is working because the a/c light comes on when the switch is turned on. I can't find any bad fuses. Oddly, a few times I've gotten into my car on a hot afternoon and the fan comes on for a few minutes, then shuts off again. Is there a relay in this circuit or anything else for me to check?
A: The first thing I would do is find the fan motor and check the ground on the fan. This is a very common problem with blower motors on all makes and models.
Q: What speakers should I install in my 2003 civic sedan?
I have 6.5" slots front and rear. Looking for high quality sound. Anybody with same civic have any recomendations?
A: well your lucky you have 6.5's all the way around. you can get comps if you want. but if you just want stanard replacment speakers, i'd go with either,
Boston Acoustics
Kenwood Excelon
Pioneer Premier
if you like a lot of bass, then Pioneer Premier has a 6.5 in there "rev" line that goes down really really low. if your getting a sub, or plan on getting a sub, and just need these speakers to sound great, then i'd go with the Bostons, or Excelons. you might want to look into MB Quart as well.

p.s please for the love of god dont get sony. you wont be happy. hell dont get anything from Best Buy or Circut City. find one of the brands i mentioned and give them a listen. dont just think that cause BB sells Kenwood, that its the same as Kenwood Excelon. thats like thinking a Toyota and Lexus is the same. if you settle for a speaker, the sound in your car will show this.

Mustang has 54000 miles and a leather interior. The hybrid is great on gas mileage, and I will be commuting about 50 miles a day.
A: The first issue to consider is the battery life on the Civic. If the batteries are original, you will be looking at the possible need for replacement is a year or two. This is not like replacing a normal car battery, you are looking at a cost of $3000 or more.
The second thing to consider is the type of driving that you will be doing. If most of your commute is at highway speeds, then the hybrid will not save a lot of gas (and may even use more) than the same car in a non hybrid version. In stop and go, slow speed city driving, the hybrid will do well for mileage.
Unless you live in a warm climate, a convertible is going to be cold in the winter. The convertible will be noisy, and is easier to break into (something to consider if you are in an urban area)
You are comparing apples and oranges. You have to decide what car fits you and your lifestyle.

I am buying one with a engine start button on the bottom and I was not sure if this replaced the cigarette lighter or it was somewhere else.
A: They don't put Cigarette lighters in your cars anymore, since it is against the law to do so. sorry man

The DX and LX sedan take only 3.4 quarts.
The EX sedan takes 3.7 quarts.

Q: Electrical problems with my 2003 civic LX, just changed fuse and now nothing works not even ignition?
I recently changed the cigarette accessory outlet FUSE, and right away when i plugged my GPS power back into the outlet, the fuse blew again. The next morning i couldnt start the car and now the entire electrical in the car wont work...I'm really stumped on why this would happen, i did use the same type (15A) amp fuse when i replaced it, and double checked the manual for the right sizes. Any ideas?
A: Check the main fuse. It's a really big one I believe in the fuse box under the hood.

I have tried crutchfield i know the slots are 6.5" round but for some reason it says the speakers most of the speakers selected will not fit....
A: that's right. the window comes down right behind the speaker. you can use Polk audio's db series with no prob. i work in car audio and that's what i used in my girlfriends car. they're reasonably priced and sound great! but you could go with anything with about a 2 and a half inch mounting depth.

Will front seats front a 2003 honda civic coupe fit in my 87 honda prelude? I know that I can remove the mounts from my old seats to put on the civic seats but will they then be of the right fit as far as the widths of the mounts original position in the prelude?

measure on each side front to rear.

Q: My radio in my 2003 Civic Si is saying "ErrE", after it said Code for a long time. How do I unlock it?
I took my car to a bodyshop to get work done, and now that I have it back my radio is asking me for a "code". Then when I tried a couple things, it started saying "ErrE", and won't let me type anything.
I really don't want to take the radio out, what can I do?
A: The Body shop guys probably disconnected the negative terminal of your battery, cutting the power off from your radio, your radio now thinks its been stolen and put in another car. You need to take it into a honda dealer ship, i believe thats your anti theft system which allows you 10 or so trys to get the correct code before it becomes "bricked"(As entertaining and as useful as a brick). I think you've gotten it bricked so you need to get it to the dealership to unbrick it.

The bumper itself costs about $150. So i was wondering how much it would cost to paint the bumper to match the color of my car and to intsall it on my car?
