Q: Removing an instrument panel on a 2002 Civic Ex to replace a light bulb?
One of the bulbs on my 2002 Civic Ex Dashboard has burned out. After multiple attempts to search for a step by step guide or diagram online I'm hoping that somebody can either provide instructions and/or a website that might have pictures explaining the process. Mainly I need to know where any hidden screws may be or if certaint parts pop out.

Q: How do you repair a busted off side mirror on a 2002 Civic Ex?
Help! I have a 2002 Civic EX.
While I was backing out of a parking spot today my side mirror on the driver's side connected with a post. It is connected enough that it didnt fall to the ground, but I duck-taped it on when I got home. The electric mirror however does not work anymore.
Can anyone tell me, how easy is this to get repaired? How pricey is this usually? Do I have to take it to a specialist or is it pretty easy to find a replacement mirror and attach it?
Thanks
A: body shop, 150-200
dealer, 200-350
you, ebay, 100
and if its painted, add about 75-100
Q: Why is my 2002 Civic EX Brake Light not working?
My 2002 Honda Civic EX 2dr has a brake light problem on the passenger side only. I switched the bulb with the drivers side and the passenger side was still not working. The bulbs are fine and so are all of the fuses. What might be the problem?
A: You may have a corroded connection in the bulb socket.
You may have a short circuit in the wiring directly behind the bulb plug.
Check both/all wires and trace them back as far as possible looking for frayed or damaged wires.
Q: Anybody know where I can get a cheap turbo for 2002 civic?
2002 dx civic coupe 1.7L 4cyl 5spd manual
i dont want to buy a regular 3k $ kit, just the basic turbocharger, header, and downpipe(less than 500$). I cant find any that actually match my trim and year;
does it have to be exact??
oh and i dont know if all turbos are compatible with BOVs, but i'd like one.
A: A turbocharger, a manifold, and a downpipe are not the only things you need to turbocharge your car. And $500 is not going to cut it, at all. Even if you build your own kit, it will cost you at least $1,500. You need oil lines, engine management to control fuel & ignition timing, a charge pipe (pipe from turbo to intake manifold), upgraded fuel system (could include injectors, fuel pressure regulator, FMU [not good], fuel pump), and other random parts. You can't simply slap on a turbo kit, run it, and expect it to have any kind of reliability.
But the manifold has to be specific for the '01-'05 Civics; EX, LX, DX, HX doesn't matter. Here's a link of companies that make manifolds for your car (among other information): http://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1897200
And a BOV has nothing to do with being compatible with a turbo or not (in most cases). The BOV is on the charge pipe, closer to the throttle body (or on the intercooler in some cases).
Q: can I replace just the bushings on my 2002 civic control arm?
The front lower control arm on my 2002 Honda Civic EX is making a knocking noise, the shop says replace the whole arm, can I replace jus the bushings on this model?
A: You can replace the bushings but it is a absolute nightmare to get the old ones out. Then another absolute nightmare to get the new ones in.
I bought some off ebay. Petty cheap. $45 bucks a pair. (complete lower arms with bushings) New. They have been installed for about a year now and drive perfect.
hondaautomotiveparts.com wanted more for just the new factory bushings.
It's a pretty easy install. Compress the spring with a spring compressor. Undo the bolt on the bottom of the strut. Jack up the wheel hub with hydraulic jack, and unbolt the entire arm.
Q: Air intake in a automatic transmission 2002 Civic?
Can you put a cold or warm air intake into an automatic 2002 Civic EX?
Which is better, a cold or warm intake?
A: You can put an aftermarket intake on any engine, regardless of the transmission. I'm assuming by warm intake, you mean short ram. A cold air intake gets air from outside the engine bay, and a short ram intake gets air from inside the engine bay. Theoretically, cold air intakes offer the best performance. But it's by a slim margin. Performance gains won't be very noticeable unless you get a decent exhaust system (including new header)
PS if you want speed, get a manual tranny put on there. That will probably be your best upgrade you can do if really plan on making a quick car.
Q: What is the body life on a 2002 Civic Coupe?
Hi,
I'm buying a 2002 civic coupe from a man who claims the new engine has 65k and the body has 209,000 miles on it. He's selling it for $3500 and I was wondering if its worth buying. Would the body and structure of the frame last another 100k?
Cheers
A: First off remember that you are buying a car with 209,000 miles and its worth between $2200.00 to $2975.00 dollars and if its very clean its worth $3600.00 dollars...
With a new engine (which I don't believe because a new one will cost around $5000.00 dollars) that wont make any difference on the price but I would say that you need to pass on this one....
Q: What is the best convertible car seat for twins that will fit in a 2002 Civic?
I need a convertible car seat that will fit in a 2002 4 door Civic and a 2005 extended cab Chevy truck. Safety is a priority of course.
Thanks.
A: I have twins and a singleton. I had to find carseats narrow enough to fit three across the back seat of my 530i BMW (not a very big car). My daughter already had a pretty hefty Eddie Bauer car seat that I put in the middle. Then I got two of the Sunshine Kids Radian 80 carseats to put on either side. This was after lots of research on narrow seats. They are very nice quality, super sturdy, will fit your kids from 5 to 80 lbs. and can be rear or forward facing. Probably the only downsides are that they are a bit heavy, and might be a little pricey for some at around $250 each. But, you would be able to use them until your children graduate to regular seat belts. You can see a picture of my back seat with all three seats at http://www.twin-pregnancy-and-beyond.com/car-seat-guide.html
Hope this was helpful!

Q: I have a Honda Civic 2002 I want to know what type of lights are legal in the USA to replace the front and bk?
Hi, My Civic 2002 is Ruby Red color (I would suppose). I plan on getting nice tint the following week.
Could anyone help me with explaining xenon and hid lights and which are legal in the united states. Also if it is worth it to replace the front and rear lights with a new design...?
by any chance has anyone ever painted their civic w/ metallic colors, how much did it cost?
A: You must buy lights that have the DOT label on it to be legal.
