Q: 2003 Mustang?
Thinking about buyint a 2003 Mustang. The one I'm looking at has 78000 miles. Wondering if the 2003's were any good and is this to high of mileage where I could be approaching problems. Also if anyone has ideas on a good aproximate price. Standard model no real extras on it. Thanks in advance.

A: They're good reliable cars with few problems, just have it checked out by a mechanic to make sure that it has had regular maintenance. If it's been cared for, it has many miles left in it. The prices on 03 base models will range from the high 7k range to the high 9k range if in excellent condition.

Q: 2003 mustang?
I found a mustang that i went to go see and i liked it a lot but it had a few downers. the first thing is the smoke smell inside the car and i was woundering where and how much it would cost for it to be completely done. the other thing is there was some paint chipping off on the front of the hood and a few scratches on the bumper. i was woundering how much it would be to get it fixed and where to go2003 black mustang coupe

A: Well, probably a car wash place that can deep clean the inside of the car. Shampoo and stuff. The second question, would be like a collision place, or something like a place that does minor repairs to paint and such. Good luck.

Q: How to add fluid to transmission on 2003 V6 Mustang?
I have a 2003 Mustang with a V6. I purchases some Lucas transmission fix to dump in because I'm getting some minor slipping and minor knocking. I used this stuff on my fiance's car and it worked wonders. Well, on the mustang, it's a sealed system. Is there a small opening somewhere where I can pour this stuff or do I have to unseal the transmission system to get the fluid in?

A: use the dipstick assuming there is one. the later model cars are going towards a "sealed transmission". if you are have those problems, i would at the very least have the fluid and filter changed and throw that stuff in for good measure. on that car, i'm not sure but i have see a few cars that didn't have a way to check the fluid. i guess they are trying to cut us out of DIY weekends i don't know. that lucas stuff works wonders, good choice.

2003 Mustang V6

A: The stock V6 exhaust has 2 catalytic converters ahead of a single muffler. See http://www.miracerros.com/mustang/pipes.htm for a nice pic. and instructions to fit a GT exhaust takeoff - not a bad idea on this model.

Q: Should I buy a 2003 convertible mustang?
I currently have a 1999 Escort ZX2 and am looking to purchase a 2003 mustang. The only thing I am concerned with is the gas mileage. I did some research, and the V6's actually get pretty good mileage (27 HWY 17 CTY) (which isn't bad for a sportier car). Should I go for it? Are mustangs a good car?

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - carinsurance.yoll.net

Q: i got a 2003 mustang it makes a squeaking noise when i let off the clutch what is it?
i got a 2003 mustang it makes a squeaking noise when i let off the clutch what is it? also who makes a good set of UD pulleys for the 3.8 version?

A: Try lubing the pedal linkages. if it is a constant squeal when clutch is let off, then its most likely a release bearing. For that the transmission will need to be removed. Ummm... Try ford racing for the pulleys. Also the Ford Racing exhaust is worth every penny. Have it on my 01 Mustang v6 and it sound great. Quiet at idle and very nice sound above 2000RPM

Q: How do I change the spark plugs on the passenger side of 2003 V6 Mustang?
I have a 2003 V6 Mustang and the plugs need to be changed. The plugs on the drivers side seem very easy to get to, but the passenger side ones are all covered with engine crap. Are they accessible from under the vehicle? Can someone point me to a forum or instructions that show how to do this on my specific vehicle?

A: you basically gotta reach around to get at them. or just jack up the car, take off the passenger wheel and use some long extensions with a universal or two to get at them from inside the wheel well area.

Q: Will Mufflers from a 2005 Mustang GT fit on a 2003 Mustang V6?
I seen a great offer on some mufflers for a 2005 Mustang GT. I have a 2003 mustang V6. I had my money ready to buy them but someone just told me they wouldn't fit. will they fit or not?

A: They will fit, with minor modifications. v8 exhaust on mustangs is usually 2.5 inch pipe v6 exhaust is usually 1.75 or so inches.... USUALLY the v8 exhaust WILL fit the v6 mustangs...its a very common mod called "GT Take-Offs" Like i said though, you'll need an adaptor pipe or needa goto a muffler shop and have them Weld it up for you! Obviously the v8 pipe is alittle wider than the v6 so the muffler shop will just cut and stretch a piece of pipe to make it fit....or use some kind of adapter piece.
